Aloha Monday/Tuesday everyone!

Summer is right around the corner and there are signs of it everywhere. The South Shore has been getting some nice waves, the crowds are getting bigger in Waikiki, then Sun is feeling hotter and all of us at Hawaiian Fire are gearing up for our peak season. Every year is a little different but we always manage to have a busy and fun summer time. Some of our "Summer Fun Crew " should be back soon (Keala, Ethan, and Ashley) and we can't wait to have them back at the beach. The surf school is staying busy while Kevin and Wisa have also still been burning the midnight oil trying to plan a wedding while trying to get more styles and products in the shop so we can hopefully have a Grand Re-opening at Hawaiian Fire Headquarters sometime this Summer. Its gonna be a great time and we will be sure to keep everyone updated on the status so we can see everyone there.

Speaking of "status" the first thing most people think when they hear that word these days is Facebook. It all started with Myspace a few years ago but the times have since graduated into age of Facebook. If you haven't heard of it or if you are not on it then you are way behind and I would suggest taking a look see. Some people are against it because it can suck you in like a vortex and soon you find yourself updating your status or browsing through friends pictures for countless hours when you should have been working on that project or running errands around town. Like most everything in this world the key is moderation. Yes it can be an invasion of privacy, yes it can be a distraction, but all of these are within your control and its just a matter of choices as to how you want to view and use the system. Within the last week we at Hawaiian Fire have decided to jump on the Facebook Wagon and create a Hawaiian Fire Inc page. Mahalo to everyone that has visited and shown support. In just a little over a week we have 100+ fans and we hope to keep it going. We will try to update it as much as possible and keep things fresh so if you haven't checked us out search Hawaiian Fire Inc. and become a fan! Ask a question, leave a comment, take a virtual tour of our shop or even ride a virtual wave. This thing is a great tool to keep all of us connected, update everyone on what's new with the HF Crew as well as giving everyone a peek at our latest styles. We would love to have any of you as a fan and more than happy to hear from any of our past, or future students. Thanks again to all of you showin' some love on Facebook and be sure to check out our "Status" from day to day. The temperature is rising and I'm breaking a sweat just typing this so that will about do it for this week. Aloha for now everyone and we will see you on "The Book".
