The 411 on HF Happenings

Aloha Monday my friends!

I first want to take a moment and say thanks to all of you that responded to my blog two weeks ago about Hiro-san! I got great feedback from lots of you and it was really inspiring to know that this blog really does reach lots of people. It may take some time to put something together but it will be done. I received a few emails informing me of legal stuff and the whole 501 c 3 non profit business in which I should set up if I want to do it the correct way. I really appreciate the info and advice from you all and I will look into much further very soon. I have a call into our HF Lawyer to discuss the matter as soon as he gets a free day. I know that legally wise this is the right thing to do but I just really wanted to set up a paypal account that went directly to Hiro that would help him out with his finances while he attended the project walk for a year. I don't want a cent for this and I could care less about setting up a board of directors and blah blah blah. I know the deal since we had to do this when setting up Hawaiian Fire Inc. I thought it would be cool just to set the paypal thing up and if he has to pay taxes on the money than so be it .......but how cool would that be to free him up for a year so he could learn to walk again? I will check into the whole paypal overseas issues as well. Anyways, all of your support has really inspired me to try and get something done. I will keep you all posted as this project moves forward. I also wanted to say thanks to Eloina for putting the word out about Surfers Myelopathy. One of her friends..Barb, who heard about Hiro through the blog knew of SM and directed many people to the new http://smawareness.org/ website. If you have time I highly recommed checking it out and if you're on facebook you can join the surfers myelopathy foundation through my page.

As for the haps on HF....... we have been suprisingly busy during the month of February and we are not complaining. the winds were nuts for two weeks straight but it sure didn't stop the people from learning to surf. We were fortunate that many of the windy days were off shore so it was still pretty glassy in the water. For all of the employees reading this
blog...... THANKS for hanging in there with the cold water! To all of you on the east coast go ahead and laugh!! 68 degrees cold!!! Ha Ha! It's all realative though my friends...2 hours in the water with cloudy conditions and no sun shinning it really can get chilly! Especially for guys like Masa and kazu, but their is no exuse for you Mr Gaspar and Sean Kelly. Just playin with you guys! Really Thanks!

The HF Shop is really starting to take off as well! Wisa has taken over many of the daily duties of Ordering and Purchasing and it's starting to show in really great quality products. If you haven't seen the new girls shirts and the new Hoodies you gotta check em out on the online store when they are put up on Tuesday. Our mission is to bring you quality products at very reasonable prices, keep it simple, and never to sell out! We appreciate every person that takes a personal interest in Hawaiian Fire and hopefully we will have the product that you are looking for in our store in the very near future. Please let us know what you would like to see in the shop or online when you get a chance.

Anyways it's time for bed and I really just wanted to make sure you all knew that I appreciated the feedback on Hiro. Other than that have a great week and make sure to drop us a line anytime you feel like your missing the warm weather!

Aloha for now!
