Ryan & Kevin's Super Bowl Dreams Sep. 7th 2008 - Jan. 11th 2009 RIPAloha Everyone!
Yes I know we call this Aloha Monday but this week we're just going to go with Aloha Tuesday. As all of you probably well know by now, Kevin and I (By the way this is Ryan) are die hard Charger fans. Being born and raised in San Diego and playing football while growing up has basically put that in our DNA. While we have a tremendous amount of love and pride for our Chargers the downside to that is that they are perpetual losers. Last weekend they followed suit and blew a chance at the AFC Championship game. Hence the delay in Aloha Monday. Not too mention we have been spending almost every extra minute of the day trying to figure out a new computer system but I wont even begin that rant... Even though we have nothing to do with the actual organization when something you put a lot of energy and pride into fails its hard to get back up put a smile on your face. Kevin has been used to these sorts of seasons for much longer than I have so it is a bit easier on him. I'm still learning how to cope especially when every one of our instructors at the beach loves seeing the Chargers fail! Ok....enough crying about football. The season is over as far as I'm concerned and now its time to get used to having normal stress free Sundays and to get off to a positive start in 2009.
The new year is here and we are looking forward a great one. The economy is still an unknown but with out current support from all of our customers helping us get to a Number 1 Ranking in all of Oahu activities and a Number 4 ranking in things to do in the United States our spirits are high. I and the entire HF Crew cannot say thanks enough to every single person that has come in and out of our surf school. We strive to make sure you have one of the best experiences of your vacation while surfing with the Hawaiian Fire Ohana. Throughout the years we have repeatedly been asked by almost every customer questions like, "What's the best restaurant to go to?" "What else is fun to do on the island?", "Where are the best beaches to visit?". While we want you to have a great time with us, its our wish that your entire stay in Hawaii be memorable and that you experience the best of what Oahu has to offer. In our last meeting, the idea came up that we need to make our own official list of Hawaiian Fire Certified things to do, places to go, and restaurants to eat at. While you may ask for reccommendations through other sources such as hotel concierge, other businesses, and websites which are all fine, we feel that it would benefit our customers to have a list put together and voted on by none other than our own HF Crew. This way you will get the low down on the actual best places to check out and not a reccommendation based on commissio
s a guide for any students willing to give it a shot a certain occasions. The other two pictures there are just random shots that I took of last night's full moon that I thought were cool and maybe someone would enjoy them.Thats about all we got for now and we will work hard to put together that list for you guys. We will be back next Monday...not Tuesday since there will be no potential for hearbreak via the Chargers. Aloha and Mahalo to everyone from the entire Hawaiian Fire Surf School Crew.
